Souvenir Design
Collectable & Wearable Digital Art

When I was a college student and had the summers off, I had worked retail in Silverton. I began compiling a mental list of all the souvenir requests from our guests that didn’t exist. I kidded with myself that I could open a store and design these items. The majority of Silverton’s souvenirs are generic and name-dropped and I believed that our guests deserved better, after all the trek to Silverton isn’t for the faint at heart.

I left Silverton for a few months in 2010 to care for my sick mother. When she passed away in the beginning of 2011, I needed a significant distraction, so I made the decision to explore new retail ground in Silverton and opened Route 550 Gifts that spring. I had a fantastic nine-year run, and I owe a special appreciation to Wyatt at Outdoor World for hosting me for the last two years. Consolidating our stores meant more time with our newborn daughter. In 2019, a fire in a neighbor’s building forced me to transition my storefront to wholesale and online sales.

You can now find my products at The 9318 Collective, the Whistle Stop, Station 550, Elevated Coffee Company, or the Silverton Train Store to purchase a unique Route 550 Gift’s souvenir. Take a peek at my souvenir design portfolio.

Some of my best selling items include:
  • Iron-on Patches
  • Lapel Pins
  • T-shirts
  • Stickers & More!

Integrated Digital Art
Series No. 1: Historical Wildscapes of the San Juan Mountains

What is Integrated Digital Artist? An integrated digital artist is someone who seamlessly combines traditional artistic skills and techniques with digital tools and technology to create their work. This type of artist leverages digital platforms, software, and hardware to enhance, refine, or manipulate their traditional artwork, or to create entirely new forms of art that blend digital and analog elements. Integrated digital artists often have a strong foundation in traditional art mediums such as painting, drawing, or sculpture, and they use digital tools as a complementary aspect of their creative process. They may work across various artistic disciplines, including illustration, graphic design, and mixed media, utilizing digital technology to expand the possibilities of their artistic expression.

Inspired by the landscapes that surround me, Historical Wildscapes of the San Juan Mountains captures my love for nature, history, and the San Juan Mountains. The art in the series is infused with a profound sense of place and heritage. Take a peek at this series.
